Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. At your request, we will be happy to have a free consultation where we will show you samples of our past work so that you can see first-hand the quality of our officiant's work.
Are you legally authorized to officiate marriages?
Yes! Skip the court. We are here to provide you with an experience. One that you truly can treasure.
Do I have to have a rehearsal?
This depends on several factors. If your wedding ceremony will have a formal procession, large bridal party, custom vows, and/or wedding traditions, then it is strongly recommended that you have a formal rehearsal. It is critical to go over all the small details in order to ensure a flawless ceremony on your wedding day. If you are opting for a more intimate gathering that does not include any wedding traditions, customs, or special readings, then you should be fine without a rehearsal.
If we have a rehearsal, is there an additional fee for the wedding officiant to attend?
It is $25.00 for 1 hour of rehearsal. We practice everything from the processional to the recessional and everything in between. We highly suggest this as one of the most important things you can do to have a seamless ceremony. We have seen chaotic ceremonies and been apart of a few too. We know surprises come out of nowhere sometimes. Although, most could have been avoided with a rehearsal.
Do you ever accept a wedding on short notice?
Although most weddings are planned well in advance, occasionally a sudden need arises, usually with very little notice. When that happens, if our officiant is available, he would be more than happy to help. We normally don't charge extra for last minute bookings.
Do you perform ceremonies on holidays?
Yes. A holiday fee of $100.00 will be added to the total service fee, plus any a la carte options. The holiday fee applies to the following holidays: New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve.
Are you willing to incorporate elements from other cultures or religions?
We would love to incorporate elements of your culture or religion into your wedding ceremony. We have performed several unity rituals, and you are able to purchase your unity items with us!
Do you offer weddings in other languages?
Yes! We now have a wedding officiant, Saul, who is dedicated towards couples who are looking to have their ceremony in Spanish. Our other wedding officiant, Marco, is not fluent in Spanish, but he is able to say several portions of the ceremony in Spanish. If you let him know what you want said in Spanish, he will practice and be ready to perform your ceremony!
Do you perform same-sex marriages?
Of course! We strive to provide a LGBTQ-friendly practice.
When is the the remaining amount due for the services?
The remaining amount due for any service that was booked must be paid 1 week prior towards your wedding day. For example if your wedding is on Friday. The prior Friday we must receive the balance owed.
Do you normally stay for the reception?
Our officiant would never assume that he is invited to post-ceremony activities. If asked, however, our officiant would be honored to stay, assuming he does not have another engagement scheduled after yours.
What is the travel fee?
It is a flat $30.00 fee for the entire valley. No travel fee for Brownsville, TX.
How much is the deposit?
50% of the total price. By making the deposit you secure your wedding date.
What are the biggest things to think of on your wedding day?
Don't forget to bring the rings and marriage certificate. Both have happened multiple times!
Do you also provide wedding renewals?
Yes we do! Our prices will be as if we were offering our services on a wedding day.
Can we write our own wedding vows?
Yes, you and your partner may write your own vows. The wedding vows are the most intimate part of your ceremony, and we encourage couples to write their own vows if they have an inclination to do so. If you need some assistance, we can provide sample wedding vows for you to choose or modify. It's your story, and we want to help tell it.
